Job summary

MYR Group, Inc. is seeking a Payroll & Billing Assistant to manage daily payroll and billing operations, assist management, and handle union reporting.

The role involves processing time entry for bargaining employees, generating invoices, and maintaining client portals. The candidate will support AR activities and ensure timely revenue bookings in systems like ACIS, with strong attention to detail and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years payroll operations experience.
• Understanding of cost, financials, and accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database use.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must present acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorization per the I-9 requirement.
• Experience in multi-state payrolls, garnishments and construction environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance or related field.

Responsibilities

• District payroll for bargaining employees ensuring accuracy and union compliance.
• Review and enter timecards.
• Process unemployment claims.
• Prepare interim checks.
• Prepare union reports and certified payrolls.
• Review reports and correct errors in a timely manner.
• Accounts Receivable – prepare customer billing and track payments; entry of billing in client systems.
• Assist team with the performance of any of the above as needed.
