Job summary

Everstand is seeking a Staff Accountant Payroll and Benefits Specialist to support finance operations, handling payroll, benefits, and retirement programs while collaborating with HR and our health insurance broker.

You will ensure accurate payroll processing under federal and state laws, manage ACA reporting through ADP, and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in Sage and ADP, strong analytical skills, and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting/finance.
• Experience with payroll management and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with ADP and Sage software.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with modern payroll and financial software systems.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately ensuring on-time, compliant payments.
• Administer healthcare benefits, retirement programs and FSA, liaising with broker.
• Analyze payroll data to drive operational improvements.
• Record payroll journal entries in Sage with proper GL and cost centers.
• Collaborate with HR and finance to resolve payroll discrepancies.
