Job summary

Intersect Healthcare of Big Rapids is seeking a Payroll Benefits Coordinator to manage payroll administration for the facility. You will ensure accurate processing, statutory compliance, and benefits coordination while upholding confidentiality across the organization.

The role requires at least two years in payroll or HR, a high school diploma (college accounting courses preferred), and strong communication skills. Join a team that values development and community care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; accounting/business coursework preferred.
• Two years of payroll or HR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll in accordance with federal/state/facility/regional pay guidelines.
• Ensure pay practices are documented and merit increases are timely.
• Coordinate pay-in-lieu of benefits (PIB) process and verify PIB eligibility.
• Post required state and federal posters.
• Ensure HRIS contains correct employee information including SSN, job title and FLSA status.
• Review time and attendance for accuracy and correct as needed.
• Back up to SDC for WOTC compliance and assist HR Coordinator as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
