Job summary

Emplova, a boutique PEO, is seeking a Payroll Associate to support multi-state payroll processing and ensure accuracy with PrismHR. This role emphasizes client service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle payroll items, tax calculations, deductions, and data updates for client employees, perform audits, and collaborate with the Client Success team to answer payroll inquiries while upholding Emplova's high service standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of payroll experience; PEO experience preferred is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and ability to analyze payroll data.
• Familiarity with PrismHR or similar HRIS/payroll systems is a plus.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and understanding of wage and hour laws.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for multiple clients across states using PrismHR.
• Handle payroll adjustments (terminations, prorated pay, bonuses, retroactive payments).
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local wage and hour laws.
• Serve as a point of contact for payroll questions and discrepancies.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly to maintain client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Client Success to address payroll inquiries and improve processes.
