AlphaStaffHCM is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process payroll for various client companies across multiple states, with different pay frequencies. The role emphasizes accuracy and timely responses to client inquiries, using Prism, Salesforce, and Outlook to manage payroll data and support services.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and an understanding of HRIS systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degrees in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field, preferred.
• 3–5 years of payroll, HRIS, or PEO experience.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Strong communication and follow‑up skills for relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Processes and reviews initialized payrolls, correcting errors for accuracy.
• Provides pre-posting payroll reports to clients for review and approval.
• Collaborates with IT by providing specs for customized client reports and QA testing.
• Monitors payroll maintenance needs and client trends, including late submissions.
• Supports system enhancements for Prism, Cloud Storage, and Salesforce.
• Resolves client payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Manages pay codes, job positions, pay locations, PTO adjustments, and GL setups.
• Delivers high-level customer service when assisting clients with payroll or system inquiries.
• Uses Salesforce and Outlook to track client issues and follow-ups.
• Resolves user security inquiries in the HRIS portal.
• Creates payroll import templates to support client uploads.
• Conducts payroll training for clients and educates on best practices.
