Job summary

AlphaStaffHCM is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process payroll for various client companies across multiple states. You will maintain high quality standards, deliver accurate payroll data, and support client reporting and system enhancements.

Key responsibilities include processing payroll, QA testing, and serving as the main payroll contact. The role requires strong Excel and HRIS skills, with experience in Prism PEO Software preferred. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll, HRIS, or PEO experience.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to multiple client setups.
• Strong communication, follow-up, and customer service skills.
• Experience with Prism PEO Software preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel (formulas, filters, pivot tables).
• FPC or CPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and review payrolls for multiple client companies across states.
• Provide pre-posting payroll reports for client review.
• QA testing and collaboration with IT for client reports.
• Manage pay codes, locations, PTO, GL setups, and ongoing maintenance.
• Respond to payroll inquiries with professional, timely support.
• Utilize Salesforce and Outlook to track client issues and requests.
• Educate clients on system functionality and best practices.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll maintenance exceptions.
