Job summary

Relias in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Manager, Payroll & Accounts Payable to lead payroll, accounts payable, and master-data operations. You will drive timely, accurate payments, establish governance, and coordinate with HR, Tax, Legal, and external providers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in payroll-related roles, 2+ years of people management, and experience with multi-state payroll and ERP/Payables platforms. This role is based in a hybrid office near Morrisville.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounting operations, or related field.
• 2+ years of direct people-management experience, including coaching and deadline coverage.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and adjacent areas like vendor master data or expense platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead Payroll and MDM Specialists and Accounts Payable Specialists; set priorities and coach performance.
• Oversee payroll processing, taxes, adjustments, and final payroll controls.
• Manage invoice validation, coding, approvals, payments, and supplier inquiries.
• Maintain vendor master-data controls and sanctions screening; ensure data protection.
