Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage payroll accounting projects and provide financial analysis and system support from Reading, PA. You will lead planning through implementation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processes.

The role emphasizes internal controls, automation, and cross-functional collaboration with Payroll, Finance, HR, Benefits, IT, and Legal. A CPP designation is a plus and experience with ADP/Workday/Ceridian/UKG is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPP designation is a plus.
• Experience with ADP, Workday, Ceridian, or UKG payroll systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll accounting projects from planning to implementation.
• Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Perform root cause analysis on payroll-related items.
• Develop and maintain payroll reporting and analytics.
• Conduct payroll testing and validation for system changes.
• Support payroll systems enhancements and integrations.
• Strengthen internal controls over payroll processes.
• Drive process improvements and automation in payroll accounting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align payroll processes with business goals.
• Prepare payroll-related reports and support audits.
