Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is partnering with a company in Irving, TX to recruit a Payroll Specialist for a fully on-site role. You will handle core payroll duties, ensure accuracy, and support staff with payroll-related questions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in payroll, experience with Davis-Bacon or prevailing wage reporting, and knowledge of multi-state payroll and wage laws. The position offers up to $70,000 annually plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in payroll.
• Proven expertise in certified payroll reporting.
• Familiar with multi-state payroll and job costing.
• Experience with federal, state, and local wage laws.

Responsibilities

• Process new hire paperwork, W-4s, PAFs, and transfers as needed.
• Import time, review labor records, and fix errors before payroll.
• Run payroll reports to verify time and pay information.
• Process off-cycle payments including final pay and retroactive pay.
• Prepare Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) and uploads as required.
• Manage employee payroll documents in the system.
• Respond to and resolve payroll support tickets.
• Review and process employee expense reports.
• Process payroll reclassifications and corrections from time entry.
