Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Payroll Analyst I to manage payroll for unionized employees under 175 local CBAs. You will analyze large data sets, ensure accurate deductions, and maintain confidentiality across multiple payroll systems.

The role requires collaboration with HR, Total Rewards, HRIS, and field payroll teams, with a focus on timely reporting and compliance under the FLSA and CBAs.

Qualifications

• Multi-state payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of the regular rate of pay calculation under FLSA.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Review and apply CBA ratifications to payroll.
• Prepare union health, welfare, and pension contribution calculations and monthly reporting.
• Maintain accurate union dues deductions.
• Remit contributions for union 401K reporting weekly.
• Audit payroll cycles for deductions and transactions.
• Retro calculations and OT premiums per DOL rules.
• Process union benefits premiums and other union payments.
• Collaborate with HR, Total Rewards, HRIS, Field Management and cross-functional payroll teams.
• Prepare payroll reports as requested.
• Support knowledge transfer and payroll system testing.
