Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Payroll Analyst I to produce accurate payroll entries for unionized employees under 175+ CBAs. You will handle large data sets, maintain confidentiality, and support all payroll tasks across union populations.

The role requires multi-state payroll experience, knowledge of FLSA regular rate calculations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; CPP is a plus. Join a team focused on accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting, with strong benefits and growth

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of payroll experience in large complex organizations.
  • Basic knowledge of regular rate of pay calculation under FLSA.
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP) and Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret CBAs and apply requirements to payroll to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and analyze union health & welfare, and pension contributions and monthly reporting.
  • Maintain and report union dues deductions; process 401K contributions weekly.
  • Audit payroll cycles for deductions and transactions including overtime, and retro calculations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Total Rewards, HRIS, and cross-functional payroll teams.
