Job summary

Utah Transit Authority seeks a Payroll Analyst to ensure accurate, compliant payroll for a large, unionized workforce. You will audit processes, handle garnishments, and support year-end tax filings.

The role requires in-office attendance in Salt Lake City, with potential for occasional remote work after an initial training period. CPP preferred; Workday and Oracle experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Three years of payroll experience reviewing, administering, and processing payroll for 500+ employees using an ERP system.
• Union environment experience preferred.
• Annual credit check required.
• Associates degree in Accounting or related field; 2 extra years of experience may substitute.
• CPP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and audit timely, accurate processing of companywide payroll.
• Provide expertise in payroll processing per UTA policies, procedures, collective bargaining agreement, and regulations.
• Manage garnishments, leave balances, and payroll inquiries/discrepancies.
• Collaborate with management on year-end processes, audits, and tax filings.
• Maintain knowledge of Workday ERP system.
