Job summary

CFS is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our Lakewood, CO-based team. This onsite role targets payroll professionals with 1–2 years’ experience, offering hands-on exposure to HR systems, onboarding, and benefits administration.

You will process payroll, manage timekeeping records, and assist with onboarding while partnering with HR and Finance to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. This is a collaborative, growth-oriented role with a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of payroll processing experience.
• Familiar with payroll software and HRIS/timekeeping systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Team player who is proactive and eager to learn.
• Healthcare or private equity experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll including regular, off-cycle, and PEO payroll.
• Maintain timekeeping records, PTO balances, and sick leave accruals.
• Assist with bonus calculations and payroll adjustments.
• Support onboarding including I-9 verification and E-Verify processing.
• Maintain payroll data in the HRIS system.
• Respond to payroll and HR system inquiries.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with data requests.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot system issues.
• Assist with new hire orientation, audits, HR projects, and process improvements.
• Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
