Job summary

CFS in Dayton, OH is seeking an HR Payroll Specialist to own payroll, benefits, and HRIS administration within a manufacturing setting.

You will process biweekly payroll, manage benefits and compliance reporting, and partner with HR leadership to drive system enhancements and open enrollment across diverse employee populations. This onsite role offers direct collaboration with HR leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4+ years of payroll administration experience, including FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation management.
• Experience with Paycor, ADP, Workday, or similar payroll/HRIS platforms.
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, benefits administration, payroll reporting, and general ledger integrations.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple locations while ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and collective bargaining agreements.
• Administer employee benefits programs, leave management processes, and annual open enrollment activities.
• Manage HRIS and payroll system administration, including employee records, workflows, reporting, and system audits.
• Prepare regulatory reporting and support compliance requirements related to payroll, benefits, and employment laws.
• Lead payroll and HR process improvements, system testing, documentation, and training initiatives.
