Job summary

Astronautics Corporation of America is seeking a Payroll Administrator to ensure accurate and timely payroll for 1,200+ employees across multiple states. You will partner with HR, Finance, and supervisors to manage payroll, ensure compliance, resolve inquiries, and drive improvements in our payroll processes.

This on-site role with hybrid flexibility reports to the Manager, Payroll and is based at our Oak Creek, WI headquarters.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three years of experience in payroll for a corporation with 1,200+ employees and multi-state payroll.
• Extensive knowledge of ADP or another payroll software tool.
• In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws including wage and hour, SUI, and inter-state reciprocity.
• Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
• Exceptional accuracy in data entry and calculations to avoid errors and compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Review and communicate necessary time reporting corrections to supervisors.
• Transfer time reporting into ADP.
• Process ADP-generated payroll accurately and on time.
• Maintain files of ADP tax filings and payroll reports.
• Reconcile cash activity to payroll and ADP Tax Services reports.
• Answer employees' inquiries about paycheck information.
• Maintain spreadsheets tracking weekly payroll data.
• Process manual checks for corrections and bonuses.
• Calculate new hire and termination pay and adjustments.
• Reconcile payroll reports to 941s and W-2s.
• Maintain the general ledger for payroll transactions.
• Prepare journal entries and analyses as assigned.
• Process stop payments or payroll adjustments.
• Deduct taxes and other withholdings accurately.
