Key duties include administering union payroll for 60+ employees, processing remittances and prevailing wage reports, managing workers' comp claims and payroll audits, and ensuring NYS payroll tax compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll and job cost experience.

• Construction payroll compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administer full-cycle union payroll for 60+ employees and reconcile remittances.
• Process certified payrolls and prevailing wage reports.
• Manage workers' compensation claims, payroll audits, and compliance reporting (OSHA, EEOC).
• Ensure compliance with NYS unemployment and payroll tax regulations.
• Handle job costing, payroll reconciliations, and correct discrepancies in Sage 300.
• Generate and format Excel payroll reports and data analyses.
• Support payroll system transitions; ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
• Assist with garnishments, benefit remittances, and payroll compliance with leadership.

A mid-sized construction company in New York City is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to oversee the full scope of union payroll operations. This role requires strong knowledge of job costing and union/certified payroll compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer full-cycle union payroll for 60+ employees
• Process and reconcile union remittances, certified payrolls, and prevailing wage reports
• Manage workers' compensation claims, payroll audits, and compliance reporting (OSHA, EEOC, OCIP/CCIP)
• Ensure compliance with NYS unemployment and payroll tax regulations
• Handle job costing, payroll reconciliations, and identify/correct discrepancies within Sage 300
• Generate and format Excel reports (tables, payroll packages, data analysis)
• Support payroll system transition (experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus)
• Assist with payroll audits, garnishments, benefit remittances, and collaborate with leadership on payroll compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in payroll and job cost
• Solid understanding of union payroll, certified payroll, and construction payroll compliance
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently
