Job summary

McCarl's Inc. in Bridgeville, PA seeks a Payroll Accountant to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain compliance, and support audits. You will partner with Operations, HR, and Finance to record transactions and strengthen internal controls.

Responsibilities include processing weekly payroll for union and non-union staff, reconciling payroll-related GL accounts, preparing tax filings and union reports, and driving process improvements across payroll and workforce accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
• 1–3 years of payroll experience required.
• Construction industry and union payroll experience preferred.
• Certified payroll and prevailing wage experience preferred.
• Multi-state payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for union and non-union staff with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review time entries, pay rates, deductions, and earnings for accuracy.
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and prepare supporting schedules.
• Coordinate W-2 processing, payroll tax filings, and unemployment filings.
• Support audits and drive payroll process improvements and internal controls.
