Job summary

City of Seguin is seeking a Customer Service Representative to handle payments and utility service requests. You will enter customer data, process applications for initiation, transfer, or discontinuance of services, and reconcile cash drawers daily.

Responsibilities include preparing bank deposits, inventory control, answering public inquiries, and ensuring accurate records while maintaining courteous service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent; experience in customer service; one year related experience including cash handling and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Receives and process various payments through payment windows.
• Processes applications for initiation, transfer and/or discontinuance of utility services which includes: entering customer information into the computer assigning services and generating appropriate service orders.
• Reconcile own cash drawer daily.
• Prepare and deliver bank deposits.
• Prepare cut-off list.
• Processes and distributes NSF checks and accompanying documentation.
• Inventories office supplies.
• Answers inquiries from the public.
• Open and close the cash vault.
