Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Consumer Servicing Specialist to provide administrative and operational support for consumer servicing functions that fall outside standard processing workflows. This role focuses on processing-related tasks and does not involve direct customer interaction.

The successful candidate will handle rejected payments, hardship relief maintenance, and other servicing exceptions in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four or more years of experience in business and general office environment.
• Experience in banking, financial services, loan servicing, payment processing, or operations environments.
• Experience performing research, exception processing, reconciliation, or data maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and operational processing activities supporting consumer servicing functions.
• Research and resolve payment-related exceptions and operational discrepancies.
• Process rejected payments, payment returns, lockbox payments, and other servicing exceptions.
• Complete data entry, data maintenance, and recordkeeping activities with a high level of accuracy.
• Track, compile, and maintain operational reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Identify and elevate issues, risks, and processing concerns as appropriate.
• Partner with team members and business partners to support operational objectives and service level expectations.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while managing multiple priorities.
• Support business continuity activities as needed.
