Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist to accurately process loan payments received via ACH, wires, or checks. You will review new, renewed, and modified loans on the core system for correct payment setup and handle payment advances and payoff processing.

The role requires evaluating discrepancies, researching loan transactions, and maintaining reports while delivering excellent service to internal and external customers. A detail-oriented, compliant approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in loan servicing or related roles preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to enter loan payment information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Process loan payments via ACH, wires, or checks.
• Review new, renewed, and modified loans on core system for payment setup.
• Process payment advances and payoff processing.
• Research returned payments and reject reports.
• Cross-train in Loan Servicing areas.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management policies.
