Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated seeks a Civil Estimator/Take-Off professional to lead quantity take-offs, analyze bid data, and coordinate with field operations for competitive estimates. You will review drawings, assess site conditions, and collaborate with senior estimators to refine methods and bid strategies.

Applicants should have a Civil Engineering-related degree and 2+ years in estimation or take-off roles, with proficiency in AGTEK, Primavera, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• AGTEK Take-off and Primavera Scheduling software
• Basic understanding of Estimating software
• Basic principles of civil engineering
• Basic principles of construction
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic understanding of agency (UDBE) requirements

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and administer a safety program that provides for a safe work environment and fosters participation at all levels
• Analyze and compile estimate data affecting labor, materials, equipment, location and other factors
• Review drawings, specifications and site conditions and solicit input from field operations for final estimate
• Discuss and analyze alternative construction methods with field supervision and Senior/Chief Estimator
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs to ensure data accuracy in estimates
• Present estimate/bid for review to Senior/Chief Estimator and management
