Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Senior Estimator to develop bid opportunities and lead an estimating team delivering high-quality estimates for projects up to $50 million. Responsibilities include coordinating bid reviews with senior leadership, managing budgets and staffing, and negotiating contracts to meet objectives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, 10+ years in estimating and 5+ years in management, with proficiency in MS Office,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
10+ years estimating experience with 5+ years in management.
Experience estimating earthwork, concrete, utilities, paving and structures.

Responsibilities

Review estimates and lead bid reviews with senior management for accuracy.
Develop and maintain relationships to increase bid opportunities locally.
Manage estimating department budgets, staffing and performance evaluations.
Provide contract and change order negotiation expertise.
Develop bid strategies and best practices for core business growth.
Supervise estimating staff and ensure Granite standards.
