Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Quantity Takeoff Estimator to support the estimating staff with accurate take-offs and data for bids. The role requires 2–4 years of take-off estimating experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree.

Proficiency in MS Office and CAD/modeling tools such as AGTEK, MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, and HEC-RAS is preferred. Base salary range is disclosed in the posting; Granite offers comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• 2-4 years take-off estimating experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of CAD and modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications with estimating team to determine take-off needs.
• Develop data including quantity take-offs, price lists, labor costs, and equipment for estimates.
• Research historical data and productivity reports to prepare summary guidelines for estimates.
• Review take-off data with estimating team and assist in bid closing.
• Maintain files backing up estimating figures for bid accuracy.
• Assist training of interns/co-ops, take-off technicians, and engineers.
