Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience, preferably with children and/or senior citizens.
• Available to work evening and weekend shifts.
• One year of library experience preferred.
• Enrollment or completion of a Library Technical Assistant (LTA) program or similar professional certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly, courteous and accurate service to all users.
• Assist library patrons in person or electronically.
• Participate in collection management.
• Ability to implement library policies and procedures.
• Review library literature for professional growth.
• Able to assist patrons with library technology (copy machine, scanner, computers).
• Plan and/or implement library programs for patrons aged 0–99+.
• Attend surrounding community events to promote library services.
