Job summary

Illinois is seeking a part-time library assistant to provide customer service and help patrons with inquiries in Des Plaines. The position offers 20 hours per week and requires the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree with one year of customer service experience or two years of college with three years of library or bookstore experience; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with one year of customer service experience or two years of college with three years library or bookstore experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license. Available to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Part time: 20 hours per week.
• Schedule: Tuesday 9-6, Friday 12-9, every other Saturday 8:30-5.
• Salary range is $19.20 to $23.25 per hour (depending on qualifications) with vacation time and IMRF retirement benefits.
