Job summary

Under direct supervision, you will support nursing units by maintaining par level inventories of transport equipment and communicating effectively with team members to ensure patient dignity and privacy during transfers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent work experience.
• CPR certification (Heart Saver) required within 30 days of start date.
• No prior experience required for this transporter role.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, specimens, equipment and supplies throughout GBMC using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and related transport gear.
• Assists in positioning patients on/off transport devices and ensures correct patient ID and privacy.
• Maintains cleanliness of transport equipment and assigned stretchers.
• Moves equipment, specimens and supplies to designated locations as needed.
