Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore requires a dedicated transporter to move patients, specimens, equipment and supplies safely and efficiently throughout the Medical Center. Under direct supervision, you will assist with transfers, drape patients to preserve dignity, and help maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness.

Eligible candidates have a High School diploma or GED, and CPR certification within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Heart Saver CPR certification required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, specimens, equipment and supplies throughout the Medical Center using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds and related transport equipment.
• Assist in lifting or placing patients onto and off transport conveyances, ensure patient identification and dignity.
• Maintain cleanliness of stretchers and transport equipment.
• Transport and locate equipment, specimens, and supplies to designated areas.
