GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Part-time Patient Transporter who will move patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies throughout the Medical Center, using stretchers and wheelchairs. The role requires careful patient handling, teamwork and strong communication to maintain patient dignity and safety.

The transporter will assist in preparing transports, ensuring identification bands are in place, and keeping transport equipment clean.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• CPR (Heart Saver) certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsabilidades

• Transports patients, specimens, equipment and supplies throughout the Medical Center using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds and other transport equipment.
• Assists in lifting or placing patients onto and off transport conveyances and ensures correct patient identification.
• Maintains cleanliness of stretchers and transport equipment.
• Transports and locates equipment, specimens and supplies to designated areas.
