Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking Medical Assistants to ensure smooth intake and clinical rooming, preparing patients before the doctor sees them and enabling clinicians to focus on medical decisions.

In this onsite patient specialist role you will verify medications, manage the EMR inbox, document patient histories, and educate patients using loop-back techniques, while collaborating with care teams across the clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduated from MA training program or at least 3 years experience.
• Right to work in the United States.
• Current or in progress BLS certification (for certain levels or state required)
• HIPAA & Safety policies – Protects privacy and follows safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Intake and clinical rooming including vitals, medication and allergy verification, and patient history documentation.
• Inbox and worklist management using EMR routing to handle patient messages, lab results, and medication adherence follow-ups.
• Education and loop-back to ensure patients understand next steps and reduce errors.
• Convey information clearly and compassionately while working with professional teams.
