Job summary

Humana, Inc. through CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for an onsite role focused on safe clinical readiness, patient education, and efficient handoffs so providers can focus on medical decision-making.

You will be responsible for intake, vital signs, and screenings to support a smooth patient journey. You will perform clinical prep, manage EMR inboxs with routing rules, and ensure timely, patient-facing care.

Qualifications

• Basic anatomy, HIPAA and safety compliance.
• Ability to perform validated screenings (PHQ-9, Fall Risk) and immunization protocol knowledge.
• Accurate patient data entry and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Intake and clinical rooming to ensure patient readiness.
• Manage EMR inbox and routing to keep same-day tasks.
• Educate patients using loop-back method to confirm understanding.
• TB screening program involvement and reporting when needed.
