Boston Medical Center (BMC) in Boston is seeking a Part-Time Unit Coordinator for Menino 6 East to manage clerical tasks at the nursing station and support the clinical team.

This role provides front desk coverage, greets patients and families, handles calls, schedules appointments, and maintains patient records while coordinating with nursing staff to ensure smooth operations. The 32-hour schedule rotates day/evening and every other weekend/holiday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years clerical experience preferred.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, families, visitors and staff in a courteous, professional manner.
• Coordinate front desk/office support activities and handle clerical duties.
• Answer calls and manage inquiries in a timely manner.
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records.
• Assist in discharge/admission processes as needed.
