Responsibilities

• Greets customers and treats them courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly and calmly to patients.
• Disposes of biohazard fluids and contaminated sharps per laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions in PathConnect and other PathGroup systems.
• Enters patient and billing information with high attention to detail.
• Matches requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels samples.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores according to required temperatures.
• Maintains daily records and PSC/IOPST logs; assists with monthly statistics.
• Performs basic clerical duties including electronic data entry and travel expense submissions.
• Demonstrates organization and follows grooming and lab coat policies.
• Communicates issues to supervisor and contributes to a positive work climate.
• Ensures facilities are clean and maintains supplies; reports repairs as needed.
