Job summary

You will oversee patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment coordination, while ensuring compliance and high-quality service. Requires leadership experience, excellent communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 3 years of experience in customer service and/or in providing leadership.
• Strong leadership and delegation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office.
• Knowledge of basic medical terms and scheduling processes.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource to patient services staff, providing day-to-day work direction and scheduling.
• Assists with HR responsibilities including interviewing, staff development, and performance feedback.
• Greets patients and visitors, answers calls, and handles messages.
• Registers patients, verifies insurance, collects payments, and updates demographic data.
• Schedules patient appointments and coordinates cancellations, reschedules, and additions.
• Updates insurance and financial data and communicates changes to patients.
• Ensures accuracy of patient information and compliance with payor requirements.
• Monitors patient flow and assists with transportation and directions as needed.
• Performs visit closure and arranges follow-up appointments.
