Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to warmly welcome and assist incoming patients at CityMD. You will register patients and coordinate with the team to ensure timely turnaround, handling paperwork and inquiries with courtesy.

The role requires a High School Degree or GED, strong communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and typing at 55 wpm are advantages; experience in service industries is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on site location.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency and typing ability (55 wpm).
• Flexible/adaptable in a continuously evolving environment.
• Ability to interact with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Organize patient intake and appointments.
• Enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with completion of paperwork.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Process insurance information and verify eligibility.
• Handle cash and co-payments accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager of wait times and inquiries.
