Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. in Provo, UT is seeking a Patient Services Representative for registration and scheduling. You will perform general business office tasks, post payments, and register patients for surgery, while guiding patients on insurance and payment issues prior to procedures.

Responsibilities include collecting and updating insurance data, managing co-pays, and reconciling daily receipts. Prior customer service experience and a high school diploma are required for this on-site

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years minimum of customer service experience.
• PTO provided as a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Charge capture and over-the-counter payment posting.
• Register patients for surgery.
• Counseling patients and families on insurance and payment issues prior to surgery.
• Ensures all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is obtained and entered accurately.
• Registers patients in the system.
• Collects and revises all patient insurance information.
• Collects co-pays, deductibles and other out of pocket amounts at the time of service.
• Balances receipts, reconciles daily work batches.
