Job summary

Provo Surgery Center is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support the front end of our surgical services. The role involves registering patients, posting charges and payments, and counseling on insurance and payment issues before procedures.

You will collect insurance details, co-pays and other amounts, and ensure data accuracy in the billing system. A strong customer service background is essential for successful patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum of customer service experience.
• Familiarity with insurance, billing and eligibility processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Charge capture and over-the-counter payment posting.
• Register patients for surgery.
• Counsel patients and families on insurance and payment issues prior to surgery.
• Ensure insurance, demographic, and eligibility data are collected and entered accurately.
• Register patients in the system and collect co-pays, deductibles, and other amounts at service time.
• Balance receipts and reconcile daily work batches.
