Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support registration and scheduling for surgical patients at our on-site facility in Provo, Utah. You will register patients, collect co-pays and post payments, and counsel patients on insurance and payment issues prior to surgery.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of customer service experience, with accurate data entry into the billing system and strong patient-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum of customer service experience.
• Ability to counsel patients and families on insurance and payment issues prior to surgery.
• Accurate and timely entry of insurance, demographic, and eligibility information into the billing system.

Responsibilities

• Charge capture and over-the-counter payment posting.
• Register patients for surgery.
• Counsel patients and families on insurance and payment issues prior to surgery.
• Ensure all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is obtained and entered into the billing system.
• Register patients in the system.
• Collect and revise all patient insurance information.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles and other out-of-pocket amounts at the time of service.
• Balance receipts and reconcile daily work batches.
