Intermountain Health in Utah Valley Clinic, Provo, UT, is seeking a dedicated PSR-like scheduling specialist to manage provider’s surgery and hospital procedure schedules and coordinate related authorizations. This role requires organizing pre-operative steps, communicating with patients, and ensuring proper documentation.

Two years of medical registration, billing, scheduling, or insurance experience, plus strong customer service skills and EMR proficiency, are expected.

Formación

• Two years of medical registration, billing, scheduling, or insurance experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendaring programs.

Responsabilidades

• Creates and manages provider’s surgery/hospital procedure schedules.
• Maintains changes, cancellations, rescheduling and/or clinical follow up on these schedules.
• Obtains authorization for surgeries/hospital procedures by researching coverage and obtain prior auth.
• Coordinates referral for patients that will go out of network.
• Meets with pre-op patients to explain the surgery process and prereqs.
• Investigation of billing disputes for surgery/procedure.
