Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 1 to provide administrative support in a physician office, clinic, or similar setting. You will assist patients with check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and phone inquiries to maintain high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key tasks include patient registration, accurate data entry, processing payments, supporting medical records, and directing patients to the right waiting areas.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with check-in/check-out, scheduling and phone inquiries.
• Verify insurance and collect/enter demographics; direct patients to waiting areas.
• Accept payments, post charges, and generate daily payment reports.
• Provide information to patients and approved entities; discuss financial arrangements if needed.
• Handle medical records duties as requested.
