Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist I to provide administrative support in a physician office or clinic. The role involves patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and insurance verification to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will assist with patient relations, handle phones, collect and verify insurance information, and help with medical records as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year in a related role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient duties including check-in/check-out, scheduling, and insurance verification.
• Handle patient registrations by collecting/analyzing insurance information and updating records.
• Answer phones and direct patients to appropriate waiting areas or staff.
• Take payments for services following established guidelines and post payments in the system.
• Provide accurate patient, medical, financial, or procedural information to patients or external entities.
• May assist with medical records duties as requested.
