Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a Patient Services Rep II to support ambulatory care center operations in the Finance area. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, schedule visits, obtain authorizations, and document referrals while maintaining orderly records and processing payments.

You will also help with Medicaid guidance, financial assistance, and facilitate patient flow, including preparing reports and coordinating transportation when needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years medical office experience.
• Computer/typing skills required.
• EPIC experience preferred; clerical in a physician's office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients professionally and with care.
• Verify demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Obtain authorization and pre-certification.
• Document referrals and follow up on no-shows.
• Maintain medical records and perform chart filing.
• Process payments, post charges, and issue receipts.
• Order supplies and manage inventory.
• Assist families with Medicaid and Nemours Financial Assistance.
