Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 1 to provide administrative support in a physician office, clinic, or similar setting. You will assist patients with check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and handling inquiries to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

Responsibilities include registration, data entry, payments processing, and coordinating referrals. Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable to serve our diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Bilingual Spanish skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones.
• Assist with patient registration by collecting and verifying insurance information and demographics.
• Accept payments for services and post charges into the computer system.
• Generate daily payment reports and reconcile cash drawer.
• Provide information to patients and external entities and discuss financial arrangements as needed.
• Receive calls, assist patients and visitors, and respond to routine service inquiries.
• Support medical records duties as requested.
