Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• Medical Office Experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint desired.
• 1-year experience in a customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments for patients by phone or in person, coordinating with physician availability.
• Verifies patient demographic information.
• Verifies current insurance by recording insurance card and updating systems.
• Collects co-pays, self-pays, and outstanding balances.
• Ensures patient encounter data is complete and ready for entry.
• Completes daily close-out procedures per policy.
• Completes referral processes, outpatient test scheduling, and pre-certification.
• Files and distributes patient information and mail.
• Provides friendly customer service to patients.
