Responsibilities

• Schedules and pre-registers OP procedures/appointments via phone, fax, or system input.
• Collects accurate demographic and insurance information for appointments.
• Ensures proper use of scheduling software and maintains professional public relations.
• Performs appointment triage to match patient needs with clinical specialties.
• Provides clear pre-visit instructions and coordinates eligibility verification and authorization with payers.
• Documents authorization numbers and valid dates for procedures and follows up on pre-authorizations.
• Maintains confidentiality and supports customer service aligned with hospital values.
