Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of medical office experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions.
• Able to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Operate standard office equipment.
• Typing 40 wpm preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a team.
• Respond well to feedback from supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes clinic duties.
• Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance.
• Scans documents into electronic health records.
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter.
• Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments.
• Schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
• Responds to tasks in the EHR.
• Orders clinic office supplies.
• Sells and tracks cosmetic products.
• Distributes mail.
• Prepares for next day scheduled appointments.
