Kalihi-Palama Health Center is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to accurately collect patient information, complete registrations, and scan documents per KPHC policies. You will enter data in Centricity and support front desk operations to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Your role includes scheduling, insurance verification, coordinating with departments, and providing courteous service to diverse patients.

Formación

• 2 years of experience as a receptionist or customer service representative in a hospitality, office, or healthcare setting.
• Possess exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to interact with people from multiple backgrounds with respect and understanding.
• Knowledge of MS office including Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records preferred.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and use problem solving skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Must have reliable on-site attendance.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain complete, accurate patient information and required documents for scheduling, registration and collections.
• Enter data into Centricity and scan required documents.
• Monitor front office activities and communicate with departments to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Greet patients and respond to questions; refer to appropriate staff as needed.
• Register new patients, verify information, and create patient charts.
• Schedule and update appointments; remind patients of required documents and medications.
• Answer phones and direct calls to the correct staff; pre-register new patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure privacy at all times.
• Observe safety and security procedures and cover for other staff as needed.
