Job summary

Novant Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our Florence, SC team. The PSR will greet patients, process paperwork, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and help manage front-office operations.

This role supports scheduling and daily front-office duties in a busy urgent care setting. Candidates should have medical terminology knowledge, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work weekends and at multiple centers within the region.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Willing to work 12 hour shifts and weekends.
• Willing to work at other centers as needed.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates the mission, vision, and values in actions and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists with paperwork and sign-in process.
• Maintains front office appearance and accurate patient demographics.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and collects co-payments.
• Schedules appointments and answers incoming calls.
• Cleans counters and waiting area; supports billing as needed.
• Balances daily deposits and assists in training new staff.
