Novant Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join the City of Columbia team. This full-time role handles front-office duties, greets patients, verifies demographics, collects co-pays, and enters charges in the system at the City of Columbia NHUC location in Columbia, SC.

The PSR will answer calls, schedule appointments, and help maintain a clean, welcoming front area while upholding HIPAA and company policies. Weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to learn and use medical terminology.
• Willing to work extended shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage sign-in process.
• Verify demographics and collect co-pays.
• Enter charges and maintain front-office appearance.
• Answer calls and schedule appointments.
• Balance daily transactions and deposit when needed.
• Assist in training new employees and ensure HIPAA compliance.
