Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with diverse individuals.
• Ability to problem solve, stay calm under pressure and be professional.
• Strong written communication skills and legible spelling.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Active listening and de-escalation skills.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and apply protocols.
• Keyboarding skills and Windows software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of patient scheduling, including in-person or virtual visits.
• Manage multi-line phone system and direct urgent cases appropriately.
• Set up and verify insurance coverage in multiple systems.
• Enroll patients on the patient portal and explain its benefits.
• Request, confirm and validate interpreter services.
• Greet patients and complete the check-in process.
• Respond to patient requests and coordinate communications between staff.
