Qualifications

• Knowledge of Internet and MS Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the flow of patient information across the continuum of care, including data collection of insurance demographics.
• Registers patients and handles front desk activities to ensure accurate scheduling and check-in/out.
• Collects and verifies demographic, insurance and financial information and enters it into the EMR.
• Collects co-pays, co-insurances, deductibles and past due balances; performs daily reconciliation of money collected.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and manages patient intake forms through the EMR.
• Ensures paperwork (referrals, IDs, insurance cards) are up to date for service.
